Jane was born and raised in Kamloops.
From an early age, she displayed a flair for sewing and needlework. Her grandmother taught her to knit and crotchet at age 5, and then by 11 , under the tutelage of her mother, she was sewing her own clothes. Since then, she has broadened her horizons to become skilled at most forms of needlework, quilting, costume design and felting. After 30 years of working as an RN at RIH, Jane has retired and now devotes her time to exploring new forms of fabric art. At present her work in the gallery comprises felted slippers, felted brooches, knitted socks and mittens, baby blankets and quilts.
